Looking back, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was probably one of my favourite books as a child and the film wasn't too far off either. That film has a lot to answer for and is the bedrock for my slags. With such a colorful cast of misfits how could it not be be? Augustus and The Oompa Loompa's being the best of the lot.
Anyway I recently came across various pictures of Gene Wilder and I just thought to myself, jesus that fucker gives me the creeps particularly in all the glory of his Willy Wonka role. Instead of boring you with a ramble of how I think Gene Wilder could potentially be a Paedofile I'd rather leave you with some creepy pictures of him instead and YES my mind is warped.

James O'Neill is my new fashion icon! Although I've seen him round various locations most notably for his DJ skills in Spy Dublin; the Bitches With Wolves frontman really impressed me at the Trinity Ball.
Bitches With Wolves is an evilly brilliant and rude electro pop outfit with an emphasis on high fashion and four-letter words.
I recently watched an interview with James from Oxygen 2009 and the future looks promising him for him. Commonly known for his outrageous outfits and just all round star quality, this man is ready for world domination.
Why he is my style icon? He's like a gay Lady Gaga but with an NCAD flair about him. He's a breath of fresh air and definitiley one to watch!

You only finish college, TWICE.

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Trinity Ball. As I have just completed a Masters there, I felt it was essential to scrub up as best I could for the occasion. I've had a great year and met so many amazing and like minded people.
As for the ball itself a great night was had by everyone, well the bits I can remember ;) although I do remember getting quite upset as now my safety blanket that being college has been torn to shreds.
Bring on the big bucks and the freedom from essays.

The IFI are holding a Hitchcock extravoganza all through April.
I went to see none other than the infamous Psycho the other night; and its safe to say that Norman Bates still scares me.
I'm a huge Hitchcock fan and when I was despairing about my Masters in Film before Christmas, my lovely Dad went out and bought me the entire Hitchcock boxset.

So two of my idols and favourite fashion icons have teamed up for the MAC 2010 Viva Glam campaign. Those being none other than Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper, both rockin' awesome shades of Lipstick in the promo picture.
The entire Palette for this Spring 2010 collection is to die for, been searching Ebay like a madwoman trying to get my paws on Gaga's lippy (featured in the picture) that is called GAGA, what a shock.
All proceeds from this collection go towards the MAC AIDS fund.


I was also lucky enough to go and see Gaga in the O2 in Dublin in February, she was incredible. Here's my favourite snap of the night.
